Ending the Windows Azure CTP and moving over to a payed service. New features in Windows Azure:
- Visual Studio contains azure templates.
- Rest based service management services.
- Different levels and sizes of Azure VMs.
- Added support for fast cgi allowing for multiple languages.
- Multiple locations of data centers for quickest possible connections. China, Dublin, New York, LA, etc.
- New storage types called “Extras”. Mapping blobs to NTFS disk locations.
SQL Azure is a true database as a service with support in Visual Studio.
